Background
Corey Hart is well-known in the competitive cycling world as one of the top coaches in the United States for professional and development athletes. His athletes have accumulated 16 national, 3 Pan American, and 2 world championship titles, in addition to multiple victories in international competition. Upon retiring from competitive cycling in Europe, Hart received his undergraduate and master’s degree in Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Utah. Over the past 14 years Hart has worked at Colorado State University’s Human Performance and Clinical Research Laboratory, the Cycling Center in Belgium, the International Center for Performance and Health in Denver, Physio Performance Lab, Max Testa Training, and has also served as the team physiologist and assistant director for the Garmin-Sharp development program. Corey has been a training consultant for USA Cycling, Baylor Track and Field, the Colavita Women’s Professional Cycling team, Brooks Beasts, and numerous regional amateur teams. In addition to his work with athletes, he is actively engaged in research focusing on skeletal muscle metabolism and oxidative stress in the context of aging and chronic disease as a member of the Utah Vascular Research Laboratory.
